31 applications to the fund in autumn 2022
Svalbard’s environmental protection fund has received 31 applications for support for environmental protection projects in Svalbard in the autumn application round. The total application amount is NOK 19.6 million.
The deadline for applying for grants in the autumn award round expired on 15 September and there is great variation in the type of measures and application amounts. Svalbard’s environmental protection fund has up to NOK 6 million available for project support in autumn 2022.
The processing of the applications is underway and the applications will be subject to professional assessment by the Governor of Svalbard, the Directorate for Cultural Heritage (cultural monuments) and the Norwegian Environment Agency (environmental protection). In order to be awarded support, it is important that the applications meet the necessary quality criteria and are in line with the objectives and priorities for 2022.
The board of Svalbard’s environmental protection fund decides which applications will be approved for support. The award will be announced at the board meeting on 18 November.
